I am the editor of the weekly email newsletter for East Glos Club in Cheltenham. On 23/12/22 we published this tribute to Keith. We will miss him.
============
Keith was a loyal and dedicated member who may have sailed under many people's radar but whose love of our club leaves a legacy which will be appreciated by members for years to come.

Keith was a member for over 50 years, and his contribution was much more than simply as a player. He was a great believer in the club and a huge contributor to its development over the years, particularly the major redevelopment of 2002, which saw a redesigned clubhouse and significant improvements in court facilities.

In discussions on past developments, it is certain that Keith's name will crop up. He used his knowledge and expertise on many house and grounds and technical matters quietly, modestly and with no fuss.

I played much tennis and golf with Keith over many years. Some years ago, I invited him to join The Cidermen (a group of golfers who live all over the UK) and he came on 3 tours with us. Despite being a very modest drinker (unlike the rest of us!) he willingly paid fully into the drinks kitty: The Cidermen will raise a glass to his memory when we next meet in March.
I was also aware of Keith's deep devotion to East Glos Club and to the grass courts in particular. After I became president, he reminded me of the importance of looking after them - and the grounds staff - every time we met.
I hope there are grass courts in the after-life and plenty of people who also like to play serve and volley tennis!
RIP Keith
